The area around the villa

The villa is located just 6 Km away from Chania city centre and 10 Km from the airport, in Akrotiri area, overlooking Souda bay.

The surrounding area is a quiet, natural environment ideal for relaxation but also very close to all kinds of supplies shops, restaurants and various services. The closest living area is Kounipidiana, where you can find bakeries, supermarkets and restaurants with traditional Cretan food and it is located only 4 km away. The villa’s location is ideal for one more reason; its 10 minutes proximity to the main national road, thus making excursions around Crete a very easy thing to do.

When it comes to family beaches, close to the villa you will find several sandy beaches that you should visit. The most popular ones are Kalathas beach which is 6 km away and Marathi,  which is ideal for families with children and Loutraki which is 11 km away from the villa, the beach of Stavros (12 km) and the beach of Tersanas (11 km away). If you choose to have a more entertaining day by the sea, there are plenty of beach bars with music events and parties, such as the beach of Agia Marina and Platanias, which are 15 km away. On the West coast of Crete you can also find some of the most amazing, well known natural beaches of Greece like “Phalasarna”, “Ballos”, “Gramvousa” and “Elafonisi”. The distance to the West coast from the villa is about one hour by car and all the above beaches are definitely worth a visit!
