The Casa Scordilli Statement on Covid-19
Cleaning Protocols & Safety Procedures

True hospitality – commitment to the health and wellbeing of our guests

After a challenging year, our team is ready to welcome back our guests for summer 2021, with the warmest Cretan hospitality.

At Casa Scordilli, we take the standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and follow all the proposed guidelines and regulations to ensure the safety and security of guests.

Our Health & Safety Plan is in accordance with the World Health Organization and Greece’s NHPO statements and protocols, regarding prevention from the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Cleaning and Safety Procedures for Covid-19

Property and Check-in

A specialised external disinfection company disinfects the property between every reservation, using Dalco100 – a Covid-19 approved disinfection solution.

All internal and external areas of the property are sprayed, creating a form of “fog”. Fogging is one of the most efficient methods used to disinfect and sanitize all areas of guest contact.

A disinfection certificate is provided at the time of the guests’ check-in.

A minimum of 24-hours is allocated between check-out and the next reservation check-in, so the property can be disinfected properly.

All windows of the property remain open for at least 4 hours prior to new guest check-in, so the property can be appropriately ventilated

Housekeeping personnel

During the Guest’s stay, only one housekeeper can enter the property. This is always the same person and they work only for Casa Scordilli.

A rapid test is carried out for the housekeeper at the start of each reservation, and the temperature of all staff is monitored before entering the property.

Dedicated shoes are provided to the housekeeper, used only inside the property.

The housekeeper is provided with and uses disposable face masks, safety glasses and gloves at all times.

New cleaning cloths and sponges are used for each reservation.

Only specific equipment and products are used for each area (room, bathroom, kitchen etc.), to avoid the potential spread of contamination.

The cleaning and disinfection process starts with the lowest risk areas (bedroom, living room) to the highest risk areas (kitchen, bathroom).

The housekeeper visits the property daily for approximately 8 hours. However, if the guests wish, this can be reduced to minimise contact.

All shared paper objects and material such as magazines, leaflets etc. have been removed from the property.

Pool and Garden

Pool cleaning staff visits the property three times a week and only after 1:00 am, to minimise disturbance and direct contact with guests.

Garden maintenance staff visits the property twice a week, during which time it is advised to work in areas away from guests and always keep a distance of more than 10 meters.
